Weddings at Durn House make for a very special kind of day. With stunning views of the countryside and being a stone throw away from the beautiful 17th century Portsoy Harbour, it really is a fairy tale setting. Our 18th Century Georgian Mansion is the picture perfect place to have your special day. The interior is designed to look as it would have back when the Dunbars of Durn owned the original 16th Century Mansion, It really is a priceless experience and with the sheer history of the building, who wouldn’t want a wedding here! In the spring/summer the grounds boast huge trees, bushes and flowers circling the hotel making it feel enchanted, which makes outdoor ceremonies sought after. Whereas, the autumn/winter brings the colder weather and autumnal colours making the indoor use with the large open fires a truly warm and cosy atmosphere.

We are all about tailoring your special day to you and offer custom made packages to suit your budget and vision. With packages starting from £4995, we are one of the most competitive venues in the North East of Scotland. We stay in contact with our couples and invite them to come and visit us as regularly as they like. We work with them to create unique wedding dinner menus and don’t just give over a standard everyday menu. We host two wedding fairs every year and invite local suppliers to join us, giving couples the broadest range of options to choose from. We give our couples tours of the house & it’s grounds, delving right into the history of Durn House and right to where we are today. Our couples get honest and transparent answers about any questions they have and we never push anything onto them. We prefer the informed decision approach!

Wedding Fairs

8th June 2024 between 11:00 - 17:30

Come along to our first wedding fair and get a tour of the house and grounds, whilst enjoying some complementary canapes. There will be a large number of local suppliers showcasing what they can offer for your special day! The bar will be open from 11am and it is an exclusive event, meaning it’ll only be wedding parties in attendance. If you require a room booking, please call us to arrange as it’ll be late check-in on the day as we need access to all rooms for the event.
